Alison joined the New Forest Quaker Care Home as Activity Coordinator in June 2018. Alison is qualified as a Teaching Assistance and a Senior Carer. She studied for her professional qualification whilst working at RNIB and gained Level 2 RNIB Award in Care, NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and NVQ Level 3 in Teaching Assistant. Before joining the New Forest Quaker Care Home Alison worked for other care homes and has been a self-employed independent carer. Alison’s roles have ranged from Senior Carer to Deputy Manager.
Alison has extensive care and activity organising experience as she has worked in the industry for over 30 years. She has worked at senior and managerial level for the last 10 years and has set up and delivered activities for a variety of individuals with specific needs, adapting and modifying materials and activities to ensure those who wish to participate can at their own level of ability.
As Activity Coordinator, Alison is responsible for the development and planning of first class activities that are meaningful and accessible to our residents.
Outside of work Alison enjoys being creative and spends time with her growing family and walking her dog.
Mark joined the New Forest Quaker Care Home as Maintenance Officer in 2009. Mark qualified with ICI Paints and has spent the best part of 25 years as a paint technician in the automotive industry, specialising in luxury automotive and custom field. He diversified for 15 years managing a sole trader business in the field of electro-mechanical engineering, specifically in the area of classic and vintage jukeboxes: repairs, renovations and ales worldwide.
Mark joined the New Forest Quaker Care Home to carry out day-to-day repairs and maintenance in and around the home. Mark has a varied role in maintaining the home to a high standard and he enjoys the regular interaction he has with the residents.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys hobbies that include amateur photography, HiFi audio and music, information technology and renovating the occasional vintage record player.
Ieva joined the New Forest Quaker Care Home as a carer in 2012. Ieva is fully qualified in health and social care. She studied for her professional qualifications at Brockenhurst College and Quest and qualified with Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. Before joining the New Forest Quaker Care Home Ieva worked for a care agency as a Health Care Assistance and Support Worker.
Ieva has extensive experience as she has worked in the industry for over 8 years. She worked at the New Forest Quaker Care Home as a Senior Carer from April 2015. In March 2017 she was promoted to Team Leader. As Team Leader Ieva is responsible for the delivery of a first class care service to our residents.
Outside of work, Ieva enjoys travelling, reading and spending time with her husband.
