Our Home

Feel at home immediately

The New Forest Quaker Care Home is purpose-built, with both the physical and emotional wellbeing of older people in mind.

The home contains features designed specifically to meet the increasing needs of our residents.  Corridors are fitted with handrails, there are easy to use handles on doors, bathrooms are barrier-free, and all the residents’ rooms have easily accessible call bell buttons.

The generously large windows ensure plenty of natural light and we make every effort to create that warm feeling of home with fresh flowers and tasteful wall art.

Our care home features comfortable lounge areas to relax in and socialise.  All surroundings are of a high quality and there are accessible outdoor areas and lovely gardens to take in fresh air and enjoy the seasons.

Taking time for quiet relaxation to enjoy the paper, a book, to chat on the phone or to enjoy some TV is important to all of us. Therefore, our home features private rooms with en-suite facilities, allowing that essential feeling of having one’s own space.

The home has a call bell system installed in each room to enable residents to call for assistance.  Residents are also provided with a pendent that is always accessible, whether in bed or in the garden – it also detects vital signs and falls.

Overall, we believe our home provides a delightful and homely place to live, with all the facilities an older person requires to continue to enjoy life to the full.

The ‘acid’ test is to visit the home for yourself.  We actively encourage this, at whatever stage you are on in your quest to find suitable care for yourself or your loved-one.
