Our Home

Feel at home immediately

The home has been designed specifically to meet the needs of our residents, we have recently had a new nurse call system installed from local company Courtney Thorne, these call points are in every room throughout the home ensuring residents, visitors & staff alike can call for assistance or alert of an emergency should the situation arise. Residents wear a pendent around their neck or on their wrist ensuring that wherever in the home they are assistance is never too far away, enabling us to be responsive to our residents needs.

Each bedroom is designed with a homely feel in mind, ensuring that no matter the level of assistance you may require this can be met with ease, each room has an en-suite bathroom – some also with a shower – all of which are easily accessible. we have walk in showers & Parker-bath facilities throughout the home, ensuring whatever your level of independence or mobility you may have, we have the facilities to assist you.

We have a Stannah chair-lift and Evo-Lifts lift here at Quaker House, this gives all the residents the independence to access all areas of the home, our comfortable lounge areas have generously large windows to ensure plenty of natural light and we make every effort to create the warm feeling of home throughout.

Having accessible outdoor areas, including our ‘secret garden’ where residents can relax in the shade of our beautiful Magnolia tree, play a game of bowls or do a spot of gardening in the green house. A fish pond is set in our courtyard area, which if the residents wish can take the meals outside in the warmer months. There is a lovely front garden area stretching across the front of the home, a purpose built craft & activities room, which residents can make the use of whenever they wish.

Overall we believe that New Forest Quaker Care Home provides a homely place to live, whether you want to stay with us for a short while on respite or long-term as a permanent resident, with all the facilities an older person requires to continue to life and enjoy life to the full. family and friends alike are always welcome to visit whether it be for a cup of tea or to join you for a meal or any special occasion.

Believing the best way to truly get the feeling for any home whether that be here at New Forest Quaker Care Home or any other is to try the ACID test – come in and have a look for yourself, that way you can really feel if this is the place for you, this could be of benefit to you whatever stage you are on your quest to find suitable care for yourself or loved one.
