Short-term or long-term stays – we have all the facilities you need to live and enjoy life to the full.

Because your happiness is paramount, family and friends are always welcome to visit. Whether it be for a cup of tea  – or to join you for a meal or special occasion.

Our home has been purpose-built with your care in mind.

We would love to show you around our home...

...you can even join us for lunch!

We are always just moments away…

We have recently had a new nurse-call system installed from local company Courtney Thorne. These call points are in every room throughout Quaker House ensuring residents, visitors and staff can call for assistance or alert of an emergency. Residents wear a pendant around their neck or on their wrist ensuring that, wherever they are in the home, assistance is never far away.

So, even if you are enjoying time alone – you are never truly on your own.

Comfort and privacy

Your room is your own private space…

Each bedroom is designed with a homely feel in mind, while also ensuring that all levels of assistance can be met with ease. Rooms have en-suite bathrooms (some with a shower) which are easily accessible. We have walk-in showers & Parker-bath facilities throughout the home.

In other words, your dignity and comfort are always protected – and your privacy respected.

Getting around our home is made easy…

Whatever your level of independence or mobility, we have the facilities to assist you. We have a Stannah chair-lift and Evo-Lifts here at Quaker House, this gives residents the independence to access all areas. Our comfortable lounge areas have generously large windows to ensure plenty of natural light and we make every effort to create the warm feeling of home throughout.

Access to outdoor areas have wide doors and ramps – so all residents can enjoy this beautiful space.

Furthermore, our highly-trained staff are always on hand to help you.

Easy-to-get-to lawns and fresh air…

We have beautiful and accessible outdoor areas, including our ‘secret garden’ where you can relax in the shade of our beautiful magnolia tree. Our courtyard area is a favourite spot for meals in the warmer months where residents can also relax by our lovely fishpond. More active residents can play a game of bowls or get stuck into some gardening if they wish – or you can simply sit by, watch and relax.

Whatever your favourite season – you are sure to enjoy looking over our garden year-round.

As well as the privacy of their own rooms – residents can also enjoy time in one of our communal areas. We have a fantastic activities room where we hold film nights and arts and crafts classes. We have several small and peaceful rooms where residents can relax and look over our beautiful gardens. All communal areas within the care home, including our dining room, are easily accessible and help is always nearby.
