We’re raising £500 to fund an interactive sensory table for our residents
Staff, residents and families will be walking from New Forest Quaker Care Home (New Milton) to Highcliffe Castle & back! (this is nearly 9km)
We’re looking to raise funds for a sensory table for our residents well-being, we believe this would help our residents with their physical and cognitive abilities as it has been proven to battle isolation and promote active participation from residents.
we have previously had a trial of a table and it was a huge hit with residents and staff alike! – with this table we would be able to provide activities on all sorts of surfaces (floors, walls, ceilings and tables big or small)
They would be able to use this table in the lounge as a group activity, or on-on-one in their rooms or other quieter areas. This would be a great asset for our well-being plan for all our residents as they can be used for so many different things.
